Rescue Diver Course

Rescue Diver course is the last recreational level requiered to become a diving professional. Is one the most demanding courses, but also we could considere it as one of the most beautiful and important ones. Why? Because in this course we start to focused, not just in our safety, but in SAFETY OF OTHERS DIVERS. PADI Touch and eLearning

As soon as travellers staying for only a few days in the same place wanted to get their diving license, PADI divided the education into small pieces in order to offer more flexible training schedules. Now all the courses can be completed in one (DSD), two (SD) and three/four (OWD) days. Unfortunately for students with little time the diving course occupied almost the whole day: Doing the Confined and Open Water Dives with the instructor and, back at the hotel, reading manuals and watching videos to complete the theory. Now PADI created new online tools with which it is possible … Continue reading PADI Touch and eLearning

Referral

Imagine that after a long journey in India, enjoying delicious Masala dishes, curries and Chai Tea, it is possible that you long for a more familiar meal. Walking through New Delhi you recognise the logo of a famous international restaurant chain and your favourite dish tastes exactly like it does back at home. This is because they use cooking STANDARDS that make sure their dishes taste exactly the same all over the world. In diving we use a similar system: PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) PADI is an international organisation that doesn’t prepare food, but trains divers and its … Continue reading Referral

My name is Victor, I’m 25 years old and I’m from Spain…

I started my scuba diving experience about six years ago, and I was so fascinated by that sport that I wanted more and more, and I haven’t stopped ever since. Diving is one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve had in my life, because under water you feel as if you’re on a different planet, hearing nothing but your breathing is relaxing, and learning about the marine species very interesting. I am an Advanced Open Water Diver, with about 200 dives and 3 specialities (dry suit, deep dive, and enriched air). Up to now I have been diving in Spain, … Continue reading My name is Victor, I’m 25 years old and I’m from Spain…

Advanced Open Water Diver (AOWD)

Once you get certified as OWD, you are able to go to the next level and become Advanced OWD. The main difference between the two certifications is that the last one allows you to do deep dives, until a maximum depth of 30m. In addition to that, as an Advanced OWD you are authorised to perform some tasks that an OWD is not because you have an improved buoyancy, better orientation under the water with a compass, techniques to look for a missing object that sank to the bottom, experienced wreck diving etc. While in the OWD course you are … Continue reading Advanced Open Water Diver (AOWD)

Open Water Diver (OWD)

Open Water Diver is the first certification level. After fulfilling all the requirements and passing the final exam you are a certified OWD, meaning you are allowed to dive to a maximum depth of 18m when accompanied by a buddy with the same qualification as you or higher. The reason why you won’t be allowed to dive deeper is because a dive profile below 18m is considered a deep dive and for this profile you need to go to the next certification level: Advanced OWD. These are the requirements to become OWD: As you can see, to become OWD you … Continue reading Open Water Diver (OWD)

Something about me

My name is Sara, I‘m 24 years old and I‘m from Spain. My passion has always been sports in general and in particular extreme sports. Since I’ve been very small I always dreamed about skydiving, bungee jumping or diving. To this day I could fulfil almost all these dreams and now I can go professional with diving. I studied audio-visual production to become a camerawoman. I would love to put together my two passions and become a great underwater camerawoman. Beside all this I’ve been playing rugby for three years. I’m a strong girl and a fighter, fighting for what … Continue reading Something about me

Discover Scuba Diving

The Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) is the very first step to become a diver and the most demanded of all PADI programs. It is just an introduction to the diving world that allows the students to check if they are able to do this sport or not. As a DSD you are NOT A CERTIFIED DIVER but you are registered in the PADI system. This is important because if you decide to do a certification course (Open Water Diver or, its little brother, Scuba Diver) PADI credits you with the DSD. Usually, DSD is composed of two main parts: A … Continue reading Discover Scuba Diving
